The Giving Bean Gift Co. is a small business in beautiful San Luis Obispo County along the Central Coast of California. We offer an alternative to the traditional gift basket. Our focus is to give an impressive gift that will impress, with quality of product that will be kept, and edibles that are freshly baked. Our company was inspired by the history and story of giving beans to one another during Thanksgiving. It is said that Native Americans taught Pilgrims to grow beans next to cornstalks so that the beans could grow upward. Giving beans and having beans as part of the Thanksgiving tradition became common. The symbol of the bean is to show growth, prosperity and being thankful by gift giving.
I was inspired by this story and felt that it was a perfect fit for the goal of my company. I have been in sales and marketing for many years and always was responsible for giving "the perfect gift" to clients. In many cases it was difficult and time consuming. I have enjoyed creating special gifts for friends & family since I was very young and have embraced my creative background to create a unique and elegant gift box as an alternative to the traditional gift basket.
